Woken by a storm, two brothers discover their nightlight is a protective Night Guardian who helps them navigate the shadows of their darkened house on a mission to rescue their lost teddy bear.

Summary:

When a thunderstorm plunges their house into darkness, brothers Ollie and Tommy wake to a room full of slithering shadows, a missing teddy bear, and a house that feels a little too alive. Just as they're sure Shadow Monsters have struck and fear begins to creep in, their dog-shaped nightlight wobbles, wiggles, and POPS to life!

"I'm Torch!" He announces, tail wagging. "I'm a Night Guardian—and we've got a mystery to solve!"

Guided by Torch, the boys tiptoe through the house made all topsy-turvy by the storm; where walls breathe, couches curl like sleeping dragons, and even the dreaded "Shadow Monster" just needs a little comfort. Along the way on their rescue mission, Torch helps guide the boys not only toward finding their lost teddy, but also towards courage, comfort, and the reassurance that fear feels smaller when faced together.
